You’ve heard the trope, “Democrats fall in love; Republicans fall in line.” That may be metaphorical, but when it applies to Democratic Woodbury County Auditor Pat Gill, it's legendary.
Pat Gill has spent 28 years demonstrating his love of serving the public good as our commissioner of elections—elections the rules of which Republicans legislators in Des Moines have unfairly manipulated to serve their cynical model of “election integrity.” One maneuver which Gill lobbied against was the shortening of our previous 40-day absentee voting window to 29 and finally to 20 days. His protests fell on deaf ears, despite the fact that under the Trump-appointed Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, mail moves more slowly.
Because he loves his job, Pat Gill works every day to ensure fair elections and uncover election fraud schemes. His opponent has fallen in line behind Republican attempts to make voting more difficult. I will cast my vote for experience, honesty, and fairness. I will vote for Pat Gill for Woodbury County Auditor. I urge you to do likewise.
