In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary, Downtown Sioux City will celebrate with the 2026 Sioux City Independence Day Parade presented by State Steel on Friday, July 3, at 6:00 p.m.
Now featuring an exciting new Riverfront route, the parade will start at the Anderson Dance Pavilion and end at the Chris Larsen Yoga Lawn. Woodbury County Democrats plan to participate, and we'd love to have you join us!
How to Participate
Please park in the Welcome Center parking lot near the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. From there you can walk or ride on the WCD trailer to the staging area near the Anderson Dance Pavilion. We will provide beads and candy, we'd love to see you in Democrat-supporting clothes, and you're welcome to carry a sign for a candidate or cause if you like. Your kids and grandkids are also welcome to participate. Let's show Siouxland that Democrats are alive and well in Woodbury County!
If you have questions, please contact Melinda Ruby at (712) 574-0031.
Bring your family and friends for FREE fun! Tens of thousands of beads will be thrown into the crowds that line the parade route—get your spot early!
