# Labor Day Picnic and Canvassing Kickoff | September 7

### Riverside Park | 11:00 a.m.

This Labor Day, we’re honoring the folks who fought for the weekend, the 8-hour day, and fair wages.

Join Woodbury County Democrats at the Western Iowa Labor Federation’s Union Labor Day Picnic — Monday, Sept. 7, 11am–1pm at [Riverside Park](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ly4316KnkkWidpGL8?g_st=ic) (Shelter #5). Free food, games, raffles, a bags tournament, and a chance to meet our union-supporting candidates in person. Bring a chair, and a non-perishable food item for the Siouxland Soup Kitchen if you can (you’ll be entered to win $100!)

### This Kicks Off Canvassing Season

Labor Day is the unofficial kickoff of door-knocking season — stick around after the picnic and hit the doors with us. Let’s honor the labor movement’s legacy by getting out there and electing candidates who’ll fight for working families.

See you at Riverside Park! 🚪✊
