Join Mike Langley and friends at the Betty Strong Encounter Center from 4:00 to 7:00 on Sunday, July 19, for a musical tribute to 250 years of American democracy, an afternoon of songs that rekindle the spirit of patriotism and solidarity, featuring songs by Woodie Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Joni Mitchell, John Lennon, Neil Young, John Prine and more.
We’ll use this event as an opportunity to present Woodbury Democrats’ great slate of candidates currently running for office, as they introduce themselves and the music throughout the program. Candidates who have so far committed to participating include:

- Jody House (Woodbury County Supervisor)
- Jess Lopez-Walker (HD-2)
- Ben Mulford (Woodbury County Attorney)
- Shawn Olorundami (HD-1)
- Nate Willems (Iowa Attorney General)
- Brittney Wilson (Woodbury County Supervisor)
Candidates will have campaign literature on hand and will stick around after the event to mingle and enjoy free wine and appetizers with attendees. Admission is free, seating is limited and free-will donations will benefit Woodbury County Democrats.
