City Council Candidate Profile | Nick Davidson

Davidson Candidacy Offers Business Expertise to Address Sioux Cityans’ Concerns

First-time candidate Nick Davison announces his run for one of three open City Council seats in Sioux City. Davidson has a Master’s Degree in Business Management, and has served on the Rivercade Board for 10 years, including four years as Commodore.

"I decided to run for a seat on the City Council to make a positive difference in the community," says Davidson. "I think my business degree will be helpful in several different areas, including exploring opportunities to develop transitional housing and examining why our property assessments and taxes are so high. More generally, I think I can be helpful facilitating economic growth and development. I want to focus on the concerns of the people of Sioux City, and work to find solutions to them.”

Sioux City voters will have two opportunities to choose their next council members:
  • A primary election will be held on Oct. 7, 2025. The top six (out of a total of nine) vote-getters will advance to the general election.
  • The general election will be held on Nov. 4, 2025. The top three vote-getters in this contest will be elected to the open City Council seats.

Davidson notes that if you support his candidacy, the most important thing you can do is vote in both the primary and general election. Persons interested in donating to Davidson’s campaign may do so at his Venmo profile.
