Why Judy Peterson?
| "I decided to run for State Representative
because I am concerned about the direction this State is heading and the
effect it is having on all of us citizens of Iowa.
Cuts have been made to funding for the Hawk-I Program, and now 32,000 of our kids are not covered by health insurance. I have seen first hand while serving on the School Board the devastation caused by under-funding schools for five straight years. This has caused teaching position cuts, supply cuts, text book budget cuts, class size increases and will force a property tax increase." |

What's Wrong in Iowa? The Senior Living Trust has been raided. Cuts have occurred in the Department of Elder Affairs. The caseload for Iowa's Long Term Care Ombudsmen is 9-times the Federal recommendation. The support the State once gave the Alzheimer's Association has been eliminated. |

| The people of Iowa are suffering from birth to death due to funding cuts to all programs that have so long made Iowa's quality of life a thing to be envied. |

I want the chance to work toward turning
things around for all of us so that living in Iowa is once again a thing to
be greatly desired rather than a burden. I am requesting your help for my bid to unseat Mr. Rants. I need volunteers for phones, walking, yard signs -- but most of all, I need your help.
