Blog for Iowa :: The Top 10 Polluted Counties in Iowa (and the Companies That Make Them That Way)

Looks like 2 Western Iowa counties (Woodbury and Pottawatame) have made the list. What can we do as citizens, consumers, and in some cases, employees of these companies -- what can we do to work with the companies to clean things up for all of us? It can't be all penalties - there must also be positive reward for everyone.

GOOD NEWS / BAD NEWS: The current scorecard is pretty bad, and some particular pollutants have gone up dramatically since the late 1980's. The good news is that some of the biggest polluting agents have gone DOWN quite a bit in that same period.
