Sometimes I will come across Democrats who say, “There is no way in hell you can be a Christian and a Democrat.” Well, wonder if I say I can. This is such a confusing subject and will be going on forever.
Your beliefs in abortion and gay marriage seem to define if you’re a Christian, and for that matter a Republican or Democrat. If one believes in abortion and gay marriage, by gosh your going to hell. Um, no Democrats are not. Must I dare to remind idiotic Republicans that God loves EVERYONE? No one is any better than the person next to them in God’s eyes.
The Bible does talk about abortion and gay marriage. God knows us before we are created physically. God also says that killing a baby in the womb is the same as committing murder. Yes, God does say taking a baby’s life is murder, but what if the baby that is to be born will not be able to function and will be living a hell on earth. God wants all his children to live for him and do God’s will. That child won’t be able to do that. Republicans might say, “The Child is on earth for a purpose, ill or not. The baby would be a purpose if born obviously, but what if the plan all along was for this to happen to help the mother grow in a way. That’s something no one knows. We must remember that deciding to abort a baby by the typical mom is torment for her. No one that has not had an abortion knows what it is like to have one. Sure, it may be easier for the person watching to say, “Hey, keep the baby; it’s the right thing to do.” The mom aborting the baby could have tons of issues to evaluate. Every situation is different. Ok, if aborting the baby is a sin, then mom is going to hell, right? That’s what the hard core Republican may say. God says that he forgives the sins of those who ask for his forgiveness. The mom aborting the baby may have committed a sin, but if the mom talks to God, explains everything to Him, apologizes, and asks for forgiveness (if it is a sin) than God WILL forgive her. He holds no grudges.
Just as abortion causes conflict between the parties, so too does gay marriage. Marrying the same sex is wrong, right? Wrong. If God didn’t want gay marriage, no one would have had the thoughts in his or her minds to marry the same sex. So, maybe God has a reason for gay marriage, too. I don’t know. The Bible does say that marrying the same sex is an attack on His institution of marriage, and He made marriage for a man and a woman. Maybe that’s how the Lord intended it, but it didn’t really work out that way. God also says in the Bible that people should not sport tattoos or trim beards. Gee, there are a lot of people who do those things NOW. Maybe homosexuality was wrong for THAT time. What’s funny is for those Christian Republicans who are such great Christians they certainly don’t follow one of Jesus’s rules: Love your neighbor. Hmm, guess Republicans sinned there when they put down gays and lesbians.
Republicans don’t dare tell Democrats what they believe, no matter what the issue, is wrong. Republicans believe what they want and Democrats believe what they believe. Republicans don’t force your beliefs on Democrats. That’s the beauty of the US, people can believe what they want. The Bible is an extremely old book. There is so much information in it. Unfortunately, there is no one alive from Bible times to help us understand every situation. We have those who study the Bible, but still they weren’t there. The Bible can be interpreted in many ways, but the FACT remains that God loves not just Republicans but Jackasses, too.

I'm sorry that you haven't had much guidance spiritually, as your post obviously tells us so. I know that you cannot come across a firm, informed, and knowledgeable Christian that will say God hates anyone, no matter what sin or life-style he or she may take. I also know a hard core republican (and by that you mean CHRISTIAN) would not say that someone that has commited a sin will go straight to hell. Yes, all sins are forgiven, but that should not mean our country should condone these actions. Marrying the same sex IS WRONG, no questions asked. The world is full of sins, sinful actions, sinful thoughts. Do you really think that our God put these sinful thoughts into our mind, NO! Of course not! That is where the devil comes into play..the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and this all starts out with sinning. I don't understand how you can begin to say that if God didn't want gay marriage, then HE wouldn't put these thoughts in their head..so that means, God put the thoughts in people's heads to be atheists, murderers, rapists, etc.??? NO! Why are people so ignorant to the fact that the devil-the one trying to destroy God and the belief in Him or Jesus or living for the Word- is the one causing all of these sins and cultural madness. (John 10:10, John 5:19) Yes, the Bible is an extremely old book, that is one observation you have made that is correct. The Bible is interpreted in many different ways due to the misled and uninformed people trying to interpret the Bible themselves. It should not matter if we still have people living from the time the Bible was written, what was written still stands, is "God-breathed" and should be held to everyone's highest regard. Just because republicans that are followers of Christ don't believe that gays should be allowed to marry, does not mean we do not love them, we just don't love their lifestyle, and this is not the world I would want my kids to grow up in. There is always going to be another extreme, next fathers will be wanting to marry their daughters, and that should be allowed too...because they "truly love them" and they can't help that these thoughts were put in their head "God must have done it"..right? Wrong...let's please think about the future of our country and generations to come before we think about ourselves.

That decision is ultimately up to God,not you or any other person for that matter. Another thing. How do you define "function"? So what if a child is born blind? They wont be able to function like other children, but should you kill them because they can't see? Or what about a child that would be born without legs? They definitely wouldnt be able to "function" like a normal child. So should you kill that child, too? My point is, each person has their own opinion of what functioning is, and you cannot end a child's life, dependinding on a person's personal opinion. It is God's decision, like I said before. If He wants the baby to live, then it will live and it should not be killed in the womb. That is going against His plan and is not right. By choosing to have an abortion, that individual is acting like God by deciding that a human being will die.
Most pro-abortionists say that it is the woman's right, bla bla bla...Once that woman has become pregnant, she has lost any rights, as she is harboring a human being. True, she could be raped, but the percentage of rapes that become pregnancies is very slim.
Pro-abortion activists began with the rich people, if you care to look it up. Sadly, it is their way of trying to get those who do not deserve a baby to get rid of it. They will not come out and say this, but they want all the filth and poor to quit reproducing sooo much, therefore approving abortion. That is sad, just sad. Of course, you qould never look this up, huh?
Gay-marriage... if someone is gay, there is something chemically incorrect with them, or they've had brain damage due to rape/abuse etc. Humans are the only ones to go gay and lesbian, as is stated incorrect in the Bible. The Devil puts ideas in our heads, such as disobeying God. It has nothing to do with whether God allows them or not.
Murder is murder. Children are people. It is wrong for anyone to decide someone else has reached their time to die, especially if that person has not even developed a personality yet.

I agree, it is sad that you yourself have read the Bible and got out of it that you will go to hell if your gay or if you have an abortion. I am sixteen and my sunday school teacher had an abortion. It is a sin, as is living the homosexual lifestyle howoever, just as much as lying or stealing etc. is. I think people should know what they are talking about before condeming those that are living that way to hell. Sin is sin but then again isn't that why Jesus died on the cross? (to FORGIVE our sins) He also says in the Bible, that continuing to live in that lifestyle is wrong and is not acceptable. He knows we will mess up and he knows we will more than once but repenting and attempting to live a different lifestyle is completely different than being homosexual your entire life. Murder is murder. Being gay is being gay. Lying is lying. They are ALL sins and should not be repetative ones. I, as well as many others, find it hard to live daily loving the same gender and BELIEVING abortion is EVER EVER EVER okay and being a Christian is not done. I will be praying for whoever you are and that someone can show you this through scripture or simply a change in heart. God bless you and be with you!
